Mude Threads

Art Director + Stylist:

An empowering independent brand gets a new editorial edge.

Mude Threads was founded by Jaz Moodie, with the belief that female bodies should not be censored, shamed or sexualised in public media. With her collections, she its wearers to ‘reclaim their nakedness.’

My concept for the shoot saw a metropolitan youth driving this conversation, girls and boys alike unashamedly pushing into the future. Shooting in Trafalgar Square meant being gawped at by busy tourists and locals alike, but an inverted male gaze of a ‘reclaimed’ nudity, something the models were fully in control of.
